More Bad News About Fat
from "Rust Out" by Dr. Royce Bailey, page 47

“Excess fat causes the red blood cells to stick together and reduces their oxygen-carrying capacity.  Only a 35% reduction of oxygen is necessary to produce malignant cells from normal cells.  This condition is present a few hours after a heavy-fat meal.  Nine to 12 hours are required for the clumping to begin to reverse, and 72 hours for circulation to return to normal.  ‘Perfect health depends on perfect circulation.’  Whatever slows our circulation is a deadly enemy.  Cancer cells cannot live in an oxygen-rich environment.  A high-fat diet over the years causes a constant narrowing of the blood vessel channels and a deterioration of hearing and vision.  High blood fats cause the pancreas to be unable to effectively handle sugar.  In the United States, a new diabetic is diagnosed every minute.  The average American gets 600 empty, concentrated calories daily from fat which lacks fiber, starch, protein, mineral and vitamins.”
